TAQAT recently sponsored the “Next Generation Strategy” event, held on the Cairo Continental hotel during the 12th and the 13th of October 2010.

The event had 4 VERY well recognized Speakers:
Prof. Michael Porter.
Prof. Roger Martin.
Prof. Costas Markides.
And Mr. Jeroen De Flander.
"...Japanese managers, who all spend a mandatory year or two on the factory floor, identify with their subordinates and feel their responsibility for their overall well-being. Workers bring to their jobs not only hands and muscles, but intelligence, attitudes and feelings.."

Read this blog to find how TAQAT can implement the Japanese model in Management, expressed in classical management books and being implemented on a daily basis in Japanese companies and factories, through an easy web based framework!
One of TAQAT major functionalities is its ability to create a collaborative environment for company’s staff to analyze their roles, document them and enhance them till they become SOPs (Standard Operational Procedures).  Roles in TAQAT mean –in a simplified way- any job duty or responsibility that could be documented then transformed to a SOP.

This concept: “Roles Documentation” is traditional; you will find it in most management books and models. The fact is that it is rarely implemented! Busy companies can’t free their resources for documentation work; employees tend always to keep “their knowledge in their heads”.  We lack -especially in our culture - the concept of “sharing knowledge”.
Jim Collins, in his great Book “From good to great”, stated that successful companies are always able to focus on things: that they love to do, that they do very well and that are profitable for them. He named this the Hedgehog Concept. He mentioned that getting the Hedgehog Concept requires a council from the company to meet regularly to discuss it, but once it is well defined and translated into an implemented procedure, product or service, the company becomes very successful and profitable. See how TAQAT can play a big role in implementing this concept.

Middle layer managers who block the message of innovative employees in the company! They exist everywhere and all the time. We didn't find a better expression of this problem rather than what "El Andaleeb" Abdel Halim Hafez expressed in a starting scene from his great movie "Layali el hob". A film produced in 1955 but really expresses the message. Worth a look!

We are proud to launch our first Web based Management application for companies in the Middle East Region “TAQAT”. TAQAT combines Strategic Management, Collaboration in Projects, Team communication, and Documents Sharing under a single platform.

TAQAT, which is an Arabic word that means “Energies”, expresses exactly the mission of our System. Companies where all employees have equal voice, share same knowledge base and feel complete fairness when being assessed will have their energies "unleashed" for the benefit of the company.
